You sadly only have 45 days and then they will cheerfully deny you and tell you to bend over. They learned this from their commander in chief.

Do not wait. On the "Slickdeals" web site, many people have complained about losing their money because they waited too long to activate their sim card. Better to activate yours a little earlier that you would like, instead of losing it.

I didn't wait a month, but I'm pretty sure you can wait however long you need to to activate.
