• simple take usb mini like your phone so you can use one that came with or just one you use for cell phone

• The projector comes with a USB cord that provides power. I suppose you could plug it into a smartphone charger and use it like it was plugged into an ac plug. I don't know what you mean about registering it. I plugged mine in using the provided HDMI cable and it worked fine.
