make sure to use the usb-c cables it came with and secondly, the screen has an adjustment at the top...it's a wheel, push down to select the quality you want (roll it left or right to make the changes).

You may need to extend the screen in your settings on your computer.  Since this is a second monitor you have to make sure your computer shares the images.

You may need to plug the usb c directly into the computer and the usb into an accessory jack (or vice versa).  I found the issue to resolve when they were not both plugged in to the laptop directly.
