You will need 50 amp wiring which most likely won't be on a prior stovetop.

Yes, it hardwires into your electrical system. We had a Jennaire there before, so it was easier for the electrician. One thing we were not aware of, that I want to mention, was that you need to buy a Blower Fan for the exhaust of the updraft. $666 more.
