100%, protection includes cracked screen. Me personally had the same situation, you just need to set the appointment with geek squad and they will take care of you. Based on damage severity you get a brand new one for free, or will have to pay a super low fee to get it. Repairs are also pair of the protection in case not major damage, anyhow it will be as a new one.

As far as I know everything is protected even damage. I think you have to pay $50.00 for damage but that is well worth it.

I don't know but we had a Fitbit watch that quit working and a printer that kept having a paper jam and they replaced both for me. Call or go in to ask the Geek Squad and they should let you know right way.
