• No....I have mine plugged in all the time, over a year of ownership. I charge Samsung phone, ear buds, IPhone and ear buds without any problems. Attach the phone charger button to charge watch as well. Chargers through the case Otterbox on Samsung and IPhone, providing the case isn't super thick. Wireless charging pad may take a little longer to charge items over directly plugging them in, but that is to be expected. Overall great charging pad.
