I don’t get the point of this wireless charger. What is the advantage? You have to plug it in to work so how is that any better than plugging your apple charger into your phone? To me this is not a truly wireless product null

Well, I got this mainly cause I got tired of being restricted on length and stuff, I also got it cause the iPhone cable breaks pretty easy and that's 20 bucks right there almost. If you set your phone down on the pad and let it sit there for a few and you have to do something quick you don't have to unplug, you can just grab it and go. Or if you are like me and have to move around on the desk and not have a headphone in then its worth it.

It's about the convenience of leaving something on top of charger and pick it up and it charges as you do that. Otherwise you need to plug and unplug charger cable each time you want to check or go for somewhere for short amount of time etc.

I thought the same thing. Then I got one. I put it where I would use it the most which is beside my bed. Just try it. You have nothing to lose.

My wife and I both love this charging pad. We have replaced the cables due to breaking. We both use otterbox cases and have never had s problem charging. You do get a ding when placing on the pad so you know it’s charging. I have spent double what it cost in cables.

If you have a waterproof case, it saves you from having to keep flipping open the little flap to get to the port and risk breaking the flap or wearing out the flap.

It's not about cable - it's about pluging in and out. Think yourself at work where you are doing something in the computer and you just rest your phone on the table, for it to be charged you need to plug the cable in. With this charger you just rest on it and take a look at it when it notifies something to you and you drop it back on it. It's the convenience of not looking at that charging area etc. If you are ok with that then go for it. It's also good for car as well, you technically not need to take that extra second to plug in something etc. Hope that makes sense. Consider this as advantage anywhere you have short cable etc.
