• My wife has a thick faux leather billfold case with credit card slots and so forth, and it will charge through that. I doubt your case would be any different.

• It will charge through a case. As long as it is not a metal case. Customer service told me that.

• It works through my plastic case, which is an Otter box. Not sure with a fully enclosed faux leather I would think not! However, before I purchased it I tried it in the Verizon store.
