• the case plugs into the phone and you buy the charging dock. and when it needs charging you just lay it on the dock and it start charging the case and iPhone.

• You plug it in to charge but then connect it to your phone as a case and press the button to power on when your power is low.

• Using a wireless charger. You simply put it on top of the charger and it starts right up

• I purchased a Samsung wireless charging unit and I just set it right on top of the plate and it begins charging. It has a magnetic connection on the back that automatically connects to the charger. Mophie has some charging options as well but they are more expensive.
