HOw do you recharge this portable battery? null

FWIW, I had some confusion with charging as well. I did use the short cable provided, but didn't realize the microscopic charging lights go out shortly after the power button is pressed. I thought there was some problem and charging had been suspended. Contacted Best Buy online support but the "expert" didn't help at all. I returned to the store to ask for help, but the host at the door said it must be defective. I bought a different Mophie model but of course it has the same feature. Only reading a review online made me aware that this limitation was normal. That same review also indicated he had to charge the bank 5 hours to get the first full charge. The instructions say not to use until ALL FOUR lights come on.

Comes with a cord for charging in a USB port

You probably threw away the 12 inch charging cord. It was in a little rectangular box at the bottom of the packaging, we almost missed it. Check with Best Buy or Mophie
