How many cups does it grind null

It depends on your taste of how strong you want it. I can usually get 4 cups out of it.

The numbers on the grinder say it will grind up to 18 cups

18 cups, in all grinds from Espresso fine to course. For the money this grinder is hard to beat... only purchase a burr grinder as the blade chopper style will only provide an inconstant grind. You can get a better grinder but be prepared to spend much more for it, even a slight grade up in performance. Very satisfied in this grinder.
