i have a ryzen 5 3600 cpu and i think it automatically updated the bios when i turned on the computer the first time

Should support it with no issues. I've used a 3700x and 5800x on this motherboard and didn't have to flash the bios so it should work with the Ryzen 5 3600 without a bios flash.
