I'm not sure yet I can't recall but I do know that this board will be compatible, since it is B550. You may have to update it but it isn't that hard and it shouldn't take too long so it shouldn't be a problem either way, at the moment I'm pretty sure you will have to update but it is possible you may not have to, although it is very unlikely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From the factory, my B550 Gaming Plus MB came with BIOS firmware 7C56v13, which features AMD AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.0.8.1. This should support the new AMD 5000 Desktop CPUs. However, MSI released 7C56v141(Beta version) on 09/29/2020, which updates AGESA to ComboAm4v2PI 1.1.0.0, which should definitely support the new 5000 CPUs.
