Mobo has 1x M.2 Nvme gen4x4 slot and 1x M.2 Nvme gen3x4 slot. I just blindly bought a samsung 970 evo plus M.2 drive (2280) from best buy on sale and it worked on the mobo, also I installed an Intel 256GB nvme in the gen3x4 slot, without trying to match it up and it worked perfect as well
