Depending on the case, but if it fits then... Yes you can, mount it either way! Convection will be naturally working against it as Heat rises if you choose to intake into the top of the case and exhaust in the back/front or whatever, but it wouldn't be much of a factor honestly.

Though it is possible and there are many ways to set up a pc for air flow and rads, it isn't advisable to blow the heat from the rad as a top mount, downward on to your CPU.
