For proper Vesa mounting, due to the recessed mounting surface provided and the asymetric contour of the back of the monitor, I found it necessary to make thick shims (.75in approx) to level the mounting and substitute longer screws to get a correct fit of the mounting plate. You won't need the standoffs if done this way, and you'll have a level mounting surface that won't damage the back of the monitor.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To add to my previous answer, there are numerous sizes and designs of the mounting plates for Vesa mounting. The description of the mounting in the previous answer was for mounting of three monitors on a large stand primarily for a racing/flying simulator. However this technique could apply to most mountings, but is challenging due to the rear contour of monitor. These are unbeatable monitors so don't be discouraged from purchase because of this, You'll figure it out!
