Will this work in a dell xps 8920 desktop null

It depends on the CPU and power supply, the reason im saying CPU is because you don't want your CPU to bottleneck your GPU, the lowest end CPU i would recommend is the Intel Core i3-8350K or the ryzen 3 2300x, and minimum of 400W power supply, hopefully is helps. :)
