From MSI details listed and everything I could find online, they won’t have an extra M.2 slot available for adding another SSD like Razer’s new 2021 Blade 15’s and Pro 17’s, but I’m guessing that it’s due to the Intel Gen 11 (Tiger Lake) CPU, which adds a New Thunderbolt 4 port. This upgrade to Thunderbolt 4 provides a multi connect capability, allowing for you to use an external GPU PCIe Card, multiple monitors, e-SSD, and other peripherals using the single port. This benefit provides the multi device connections but doesn’t loose the benefits from the external connections, so your e-GPU & e-SSD will both have the expected Thunderbolt data transfer rates. I think they expect if using for heavier gaming you will be situated in a less mobile location where the extra external attachments won’t be inconvenient for the big storage use of game storage.
