“Are the charging wires compatible with a note 8? Or do you have to use the USB port on it?”

• You have to be careful. There are 2 versions of this product. One does have a USB-C connector. When I bought mine, I was initially directed to the wrong device & had to do an exchange.

• Yes it has a USB plug in. I don’t know what type of plug the note 8 has, sorry.

• No, your model uses USB-C and the included charging cables are Apple Lightning and micro-USB.
