“What kind of water works best, distilled , filtered or can you use the water right out of the faucet . Also could you use any kind of club soda to make the ice softer?”

Any type of filtered water will work. I wouldn’t recommend faceut water because depending where you live, your water could be hard or full of iron and that will mess up the unit.
