QuestionHow loud is this product? How often does it shut the fan or compressor on and off?

- Answer Fairly quiet for an inexpensive cooler. I have it set at 51 degrees and it hardly ever cycles, I had it at 43 and it cycled every 2÷3 hours, but it was never excessive.

- Answer Thank you for contacting NewAir. This appliance requires no manual defrosting. During the operation of the compressor, ice will build up on the evaporator plate which is at the back of inner cabinet. During the compressor’s off-cycle, the ice will melt, drip down, and collect in a tray above the compressor, where the compressor’s heat evaporates the water. If you notice excessive ice build-up on the evaporator, try setting the temperature slightly higher. Also, be sure that the door gasket is sealing well. Best Regards, Customer Care
