• The COOLPIX B500 has a specific Pet Portrait Auto release mode. When you have the camera set for this mode - the camera - when it detects a dog or cats face, it will automatically release the camera's shutter. It's a specific SCENE MODE in the camera called Pet Portrait. Since we all know pets can be spontaneous in their movement, if you set the camera, while in this mode, to continuous shooting, it will take 3 images continuously, once it detects the pets face.
