The COOLPIX B500’s 16 MP low-light sensor can capture clear, beautiful shots of all sorts of subjects, including moving water. If you wish to control how the moving water appears in your photos then then you may wish to look into a camera that allows you to manually select your shutter speed. A fast shutter speed will freeze the motion of moving water , while a slow shutter speed will result in a more blurred, dreamy effect. The B500 will choose your shutter speed based on your other settings, so you’ll need to experiment with different scene modes and other settings to accomplish the desired look. The COOLPIX B700 includes scene modes for quick and easy shooting, but also features manual exposure controls which will give you the ability to choose the exact shutter speed needed to achieve the effect that you desire. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't specifically tried, but I would guess that it takes average moving water photos. The photo might not be crystal clear
