“When beginning to set up language I hit the menu button instead of ok. An error came up saying turn the camera off and the back on. Did that, but nothing happens. Just keeps telling me to turn camera off and then on. Any suggestions?”

Check to see if the lense cap is off. You may need to take off the lense cap.
