• Yes, You will need to buy a card.... I bought the 16 G card (about 15$, I think). I took the camera down to mexico and took pictures of turtles, rays, and some movies. (Also some pics back at the hotel in the pool). Plenty of room left on the card at the end of the trip..

• The one I purchased at Best Buy did not come with a memory card, however, I saw one listed at amazon.com that included an 8 GB Memory Card. So, it appears to depend upon whom you purchase the camera from.
