The D3300 does not have a built-in focus motor. The lenses that is requires - in order to obtain autofocus - Nikon denotes with an AF-S in the product name name. If your lenses do not have AF-S, an onboard silent wave focus motor, they will work on the D3300. You will have to focus the lenses using Manual Focus. You will not have Autofocus capability. D7000 and above DSLR's in Nikon's lineup will have built-in focus motors.
