While there are a number of differences between these two camera bodies, the major difference between them is that the Nikon D5300 has a vari-angle touch screen and an eye sensor control option; the Nikon D3300 does not have either of these. Another difference is the number of Scenes you have available in each camera body; D5300 gives you 16 Scenes and 9 Special Effects as compared to the 8 Scene modes available on the D3300. The D5500 also boasts 39 Autofocus points to the D3300's 11 autofocus points. In addition the D5500 has built-in WiFi. To use the WiFi option on the D3300 you would need to use the optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter accessory If you want to learn more about these two cameras please contact Nikon Support.
