• The D5300 lacks an autofocus motor. In order to use the D5300, with autofocus, it will require lenses that have built-in focus motors. Nikon denotes these by an AF-S listed on the lens description. If the lenses do not have built-in focus motors, you can still use them on the D70, however, you need to focus manually.
