Yes-- It is a handy small bag for the camera and two lenes. However, it does not have any extra room and you may want to go to the next size up.

Your memory cards may or may not work depending on the size and brand of your cards. The approved memory card list for the D5000 includes SD cards that range from 512MB to 32GB depending on the manufacturer. The approved memory card list for newer D5300 includes SD cards ranging in size from 2GB to 128GB. Both lists can be found on Nikon’s website as well as in the camera manuals.
