The lenses that you have for the D80 I imagine are full frame lenses. The D7200 has an aps-c sensor which is a crop body. 1.5-1.3crop factor depending on the mode. One benefit to using full frame lenses on a crop a body is that it increases the lenses reach. For example a 70-300mm full frame placed on a crop sensor turns into a 105-450mm which is really beneficial when shooting wildlife. If you are going to buy a wide angle lens on the other hand you want to make sure that it is a DX lens. For example 18-35mm wide angle would turn to a 27-52.5mm which defeats the purpose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nikon D7200 DSLR camera, like the Nikon D80 DSLR camera, has a focus motor built-in, which allows it to use full autofocus capabilities from both AF and AF-S lenses. You should have no problem using both AF and AF-S type lenses on either of those camera bodies.
