Is this battery compatible with a Nikon D3? null

I don't think so. Just search for "nikon d3 battery" and compare photos. They are quite different in shape. This battery is meant for the newer Nikon cameras, especially the Z line of mirrorless cameras.

According to the Nikon USA website, this battery is not compatible with the D3. Looking into it a little more, the D3 takes a completely different shape and size battery so the EN-EL15c battery definitely won’t fit in a D3 camera.
