“Does the thermal carafe keep the coffee hot enough for at least an hour?”

• If you preheat the carafe with hot water before brewing coffee into it the coffee will stay hotter longer but not or an hour. Best bet would be 30 minutes for hot coffee.

• I bought this unit a few months ago and am extremely disappointed. The thermal carafe does NOT keep coffee warm. I've learned that I have to use a large thermal coffee mug instead of the carafe if I want to have more than one cup of hot coffee. Do NOT waste your money on this. My $30 Mr. Coffee did a better job.

• Honestly, no. This is the one big downfall of this coffee system. Carafe is just not insulated enough to keep coffee HOT for more than a few minutes after brewing.

• Mine only stays hot for maybe 30 minutes. How can it when the pour opening doesn’t close.

• 'hot enough'? thats the dilemma. it may keep it hot 'enough' for some, though not for 'this guy' *points thumbs at self*. It brews it hot...ish. not scalding hot. though within 30 minutes, its more lukewarm. I have to microwave mine constantly. its a pain. what can I say, I likes it hot!

• No it does not keep the coffee hot past an hour! I even tempered the carafe to see if it helps! Best bet is to buy a separate server that will keep liquids hot and pour coffee in as soon as it’s brewed! Very disappointing and expensive!
