Yes when I use #4 paper filters I always get grounds in the coffee and in the filter insert.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had any problem with coffee grounds in my carafe. I only use drip grind coffee or if I grind, It is a little on the courser side. I use an unbleached #4 size, cone shape, filter. I am still waiting for a permanent filter. Hope this helps.
