A:Answer Yes! The grease pan sits one way only in the Ninja machine. There is a notch in the front of that pan that only allows you to install it one way... so it's fool-proof to set in it. Then, your Air Fryer Basket, or the Grill Plate sits inside that bottom grease pan. It is very easy to hand wash in the sink. If you let the grease cool down, you can pretty much wipe the grease off with a paper towel. I cook for the hubby and I, and make fat burgers and generous portions and barely get grease. With hot water and Dawn, I have not ever put any pieces in the dishwasher. Just no need for it really. Even the upper round grease filter, that worried me the most about keeping clean, comes clean with holding it under pure hot water for a few minutes and spot treating it with a dish brush. It comes with a little cleaning brush too, but I've just used the brush I always have for dish purposes from Walmart. It's a lot easier to clean than I expected! If I ever do get some tough build-up, I'll just soak it!
