You can use ground coffee to make drip coffee. I use Folgers when I'm running low on beans. You can also use pre-ground espresso coffee also for espresso's. You just need a scale to weigh out between 17.5g to 18g for a double shot, then tamp and brew as normal.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Whole beans only which the machine will measure, recommend the best grind for, which is easily adjusted, and do almost everything for you. If you've ever used good, freshly roasted whole beans, you'll never buy ground coffee again.
