That sounds like a great idea but unfortunately it is not the case. Cat Mario is not in smash, so you will not be able to train him in smash. But if you scan cat Mario amiibo in smash, he'll just come up as regular mario. Sorry

Please try again later.There is a decent chance that it can be trained as a Mario Figure Player in Smash 4 or Smash Ultimate, seeing as though most alternate amiibo of Mario characters act as their base character with additional benefits for separate games. For example, I use my Wedding Bowser amiibo as a Smash Figure Player, but he also allows me to find purple coins easier in Super Mario Odyssey.
