Yes it does charge AirPods - takes a little longer but it will charge. But if you want a faster charge you can attach a lightening cable underneath the pad.

Yes, AirPods 2 can wirelessly charge on the top wireless pad.

I don't have an air pod, but I don't see why not as one of it's usb port has enough juice to charge my 12" iPad pro. Hopefully you are not thinking you can put the ear but directly on top. Cause that would be just too amazing:) lol
