Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are three Qi coils in the charger horizontally. If you lay the iphone 11 pro max vertically on the third coil to the right, you should be able to lay your airpods on the first coil. This is what I do. I have a iphone 10. When laying down devices on the thirds to the right coil, size is not an issue since the phone will simply hang off the sides similarly to any other Qi puck. Most phones only have one Qi receiver in them, so it is unlikely that you could use more than one of the three Qi coils for the same device. However, the charging pad does allow all 3 charging coils to be utilized at the same time. So if a phone with more than one Qi receiver exists, it might work. As far as the amount of power being put out while all three coils are function as opposed to using only one coil, I have no idea.
