I have mine on carpet, no mat. But it’s on a basement/concrete floor below the carpet/pad so if it’s in the basement you don’t need the mat and works great on carpet.

I’ve had zero issues with mine on carpet, owned mine for 3 weeks. Purchased the Proform brand Mat 40x80” as Nordictrack makes them. Fits perfectly under the machine.

Great question! Yes, our NordicTrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill can be placed on carpet. With that being said, we do recommend placing a mat under the treadmill to protect your flooring.
