• Jim The treadmill must be grounded with a grounding pin. The outlet must be on a nominal 120-volt circuit capable of carrying 15 or more amps. A surge suppressor will indicate whether it is functioning properly. Email [email protected] if you need more information. Thanks - NordicTrack
