Also, 4x SLI scaling is a joke, so I'd bet 2x 2080tis would come out on top.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2080 Ti is not twice as fast as Titan. When it comes to raw calculations power, we are still waiting for independent tests, but specs suggest that it is maybe 10-20% faster at best, if not about equal. So you can fully expect that 2080 Ti in 2x SLI will be much slower than Titan in 4x SLI, this assuming that the software you use fully utilizes capabilities of GPUs connected via SLI. The only exception could be a game which supports Ray Tracing and which can utilize multiple graphics cards. When it comes to calculating ray tracing, 2080 Ti is reportedly 5-6 times faster than Titan and should be great in drawing lifelike images of objects, reflections, etc. - if software supports it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m guessing so. Plus, one of the coolest advantages that NV link has over SLI, is that you will no longer be cutting your VRAM in half. So 2 of these cards linked together will have a total of ~22GB VRAM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could be but like Robert said we still have no benchmarks to test it. These also use something newer than SLI that Nvidia is calling NVlink and you have to buy their adapter for $79 to do this. They say it will significantly improve performance compared to SLI but we will just have to wait and see.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Rich people problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most likely, 4x sli hasn't been viable in years. The best you can do is 2x sli, so it will most likely be faster than those 4x monsters. But... we still have no benches so who knows.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Judging from your name you are probably making a gaming rig. I'll just flat out say that you are already over paying for performance you are not receiving with your 4 Titans. You can run all the benchmark software you want but those benchmarking programs are not the way you want to go if your building specifically for gaming. In any event though I'm sure you did your research when you bought your TitanXp's and doubtlessly you probably compared then to the 1080's. So not that it will show the titan xp on this comparison list but in the attachments is a side by side comparison of some of the specs. the 1080 being the only one not in the RTX category.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 2080ti with proper drivers and optimized games will be twice as powerful as a 1080ti, giving twice the FPS. A single 2080ti is way more powerful than a single Titan XP. It is more powerful than a titan V. So yes, two 2080ti in SLI will be overtly better than a 4wy Titan XP build. Scaling 4 cards would make it even worse.
