The particular cpu you are talking about is very much compatible with this card and should run high to ultra settings at 1440p without breaking a sweat. Contrary to popular belief, unless you have a super out of date cpu, it should not affect your frame rate by more than 1-2 FPS.

This should get a constant 240 FPS on very low tier settings if you have 16gbs of ram.
