• 8tb drive is no issue. I have a friend thats connected 14tb total to his for a massive plex server

• Yes I had a WD 10gig hook to mine which is very fast . You have 2 ways to connect 1 as extra storage or move all the to the HD itself. My is set as extra storage and I will never need 10gigs but the price was super. If you check every Friday mourning for the deal deal of the day at BB you can find unbelievable stuff on sales , Friday rocks at BB
