No there is no cost. I just upgraded to this model from an Ooma base that I’ve been using for 10 years. The one thing you MUST do is call the customer service number to upgrade your device if you’re a current Ooma customer. They don’t say this anywhere in the installation and setup materials. They tell you to do everything through the app or online but if you do it will just set up a new account as if you are a new subscriber. It’s much easier if you just call the number and get the customer service person to switch over your account to the newer equipment. It takes about 16-24 hrs for the changeover to go through then you get a phone call telling you to connect the new box and you’re good to go.
