A:AnswerYes this is great for movies. It's real purpose is for gaming and that's why it's a short throw projector, meaning you should get a 120" screen with the projector only 4-5 feet away , great for small ares.
A:AnswerYes. We use the projector and connect a Sony bluetooth speaker. The speaker within the projector is adequate but you can connect via bluetooth for improved quality.
A:AnswerYes, it's a great projector but good to keep covered when possible. It does generate a lot of heat, so if it's hot a muggy outside may want to put a fan on it or something. I use it outside under a porch every week. The picture is huge though with just a few feet so it also depends on the space youre able to project from, it is really short throw. More than my last short throw projector from benq
A:AnswerI used this projector in a covered porch with a drop down screen. It's been perfect for our needs. Football games mid-day look great and the built-in speaker throws some solid sound. Late night movies also look incredible. 100% recommend this for an outdoor patio setup.
A:AnswerMy Optoma 1080HDR has mounting points on the bottom, but you need to buy the mounting hardware separately. I have not tried to ceiling mount it myself.
A:AnswerDear JamesHat,
This projector does not have a builtin media player, it will only allow for connections via HDMI input or VGA. The USB port is simply to output power(5V 1.5A) to power external devices.
Sincerely,
Optoma Support.
