It must be a mistake on Best Buy's part or the case was going to originally have a cut out for the Apple Logo. It will it get stretched out and hold up better without the cut out.

I do not know, however think that this pattern looks better without. Me and my family owned many otterbox defender cases all of them (different colors) did have the round window for the logo. For some reason this mini dot case does not have it.
