“Which case is better? The otter box defender for i phone 7 plus or the waterproof case for the i phone 7 plus? Knowing that the phone itself is waterproof already. But the defender case does look stronger. Which case can u guys recommend me?”

Unless you work around water all the time I would recommend the Defender. There is just no tougher case out there for an active person. One of my sons had the one for waterproof and ended up cracking his screen , glass and camera. They are as tough as the come and they back up the quality as well. I broke a clip and called Otterbox and within minutes they had me taken care of for free even while it was my fault it broke. I just don't think you can beat this case.

I have switched to the lifeprood total enclosed case , fre I think it is much thinner then the otter box and waterproof. I haven't had the phone long enough to texts the drop protection but I'm sure I will soon enough.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Jose, I am not aware of the iPhone 7 being "water proof". I believe it is slightly water resistant, however, I do not know for sure. I asked a lot of sales reps and read reviews, and unless you plan to take your phone swimming, I recommend the Defender. Something a sales rep pointed out to me was that since the waterproof cases are completely enclosed, your phone is more likely to overheat because the case does not allow it to breathe. I recommend the Otterbox Defender and maybe when/if you have the money for the waterproof case, get that one too to have as an additional case option for when you may participate in activities that you'll want that extra protection. As for watertightness...since the phone is splashproof and I'm not really working in a wet environment - it meets what I need for protection. That said, if you are in a marine environment or working where you're going to be exposed to lots of water and possibly drenching or immersion....might want to look into a more watertight case.
