I am struggling to find a case for my iPhone XR that will protect against drops but I can also grip easily w/arthritic hands. Grippy and not too large as the XR phone itself is already large to hold. Thanks null

I agree with you, the XR is quite a bit larger and more awkward to handle. I've always purchased the Otterbox Defender for the 
protection and also has holster clip.
My suggestion would be any of the Otterbox cases that fit the XR.
I recently suffered a broken wrist, impossible to use holster clip for quite awhile.

This is perfect. The material used is slip-free even if your hands get a little moist. Additionally, it is not hard on the hands as it has a more rubbery texture.

In reality, no matter what case you use, it's gonna be bulky. Might as well just get any old case.

This case has a good grip-able material and is easy to hold using the clip as support grip BUT is quite large and heavy. I would suggest a smaller case like the otterbox commuter or any case plus a pop socket attached to the back to assist with the grip.

This case does add a little bulk to the phone, but the protection it offers and the ease of use makes it worth the extra bulk.

It’s easy to grip, does not slip out of hands. Does not slip on a table. It does add a bit more to the size. I went from iPhone 6 to a Xr which definitely is bigger. It takes some getting used to at first but worth it for protection.
