• Yes it can, but only with the newer interchangeable ones. The older models cannot be removed. I believe it tells you on the packaging if the socket is interchangeable now.

• Yes it can. You rotate the socket while it's pushed in to unlock it and then pull out to take it off. You then do the reverse action with the new pop socket.
