“It says it has "Antimicrobial technology", but it doesn't say Microban or anything. Whose patented technology is it using? Does it work? Or is it just marketing BS ? It's important with kids in the house. Other cases have Microban, but I trust Otterbox.”

To the best of what I can govern, it's just a marketing ploy. My guess is they sprayed it with some antimicrobial solution and sent it on its way.
